Questions To Ask Your Wedding DJ
What makes you different from other DJs?
We are born perfectionists whose skills are delivered with greater polish than other DJs services. Our planning and attention to detail is unmatched by any other wedding DJ. We strive for perfection and will do everything in our power to achieve perfection and your total satisfaction.
Will I know who my DJ is?
Absolutely! You will work with the owner of the company… He is your DJ.
Can we see you DJing in action at an event?
No. We cannot invite prospective clients to other client’s private events. We have mixes and videos posted online that can give you an idea of our song selection and talent. Each event is also designed differently to cater to the tastes of the hosts and guests. You might walk in and hear the DJ playing the Chicken Dance, and you might automatically disqualify us, because we are playing a certain type of music. But in that case, it was a song chosen by the guest of honor. Yes, I really played the Chicken dance at a wedding recently.
Can we negotiate pricing?
The prices of our services are driven by the premium quality of our expertise and experience in entertainment services. We will never lower our price because that would mean we are willing to lower our standards and what goes into delivering the perfect event. If cheaper is what you’re looking for, there are plenty of other DJ companies out there. Unfortunately cheaper and premium don’t go together. Premium quality entertainment is our whole philosophy, this is who we are, this why we’re different, and this is why we have been successful in the DJ business for over 20 years.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we carry a policy that provides $2 million or general liability insurance and we can provide your venue with a certificate of insurance.
How far in advance do I need to book my wedding DJ?
As soon as possible. DJs get booked up quickly. If you’re interested in adding enhancements to your wedding, it is advisable to book them as well.
Do you carry back up equipment?
Yes, we have a full set of back-up equipment set up and ready to go. If something were to happen and we had to switch to back up… no one will ever know.
What happens if you get sick and can’t make it to my event?
I have NEVER missed an event… ever. We work as a team, and someone on our team will be able to perform for your event flawlessly.
But for real, what happens if you get sick and can’t make it to my event?
Someone will notify you to send flowers to my funeral. But seriously, we have an extensive network of DJ friends and if it really is necessary, one of our trusted colleagues will DJ your event without a hitch.
Can you DJ ethnic weddings?
Yes, being of ethnic backgrounds ourselves, we understand different ethnicities, cultures and the importance of them. Some of the ethnic weddings we have done:
Greek, Serbian, Assyrian, Arabic, Spanish, Polish, Armenian, and Chinese
Will you travel to different destinations?
Yes, we love to travel. We are based in Chicago and we have DJ’ed extensively throughout the Chicagoland area. We have traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally.

Mixology can be booked internationally, and our DJ service has already performed in locations such as: Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, Toronto & Montreal in Canada, Punta Cana Dominican Republic, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes Greece.
How many songs are in your music library?
Our music library is huge, but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that we have the proper songs for your event. We have the skill to play the right song at the right moment, creating energy for your guests to dance to and leave them wanting more.
Do your DJs mix live?
Yes, our mixing skills are flawless and will keep the beat going all night. Obviously there are exceptions where mixing isn’t appropriate to the song or genre; we handle those transitions well.
What kind of audio equipment and DJ gear do you use?
Do you really want to know the boring details? We buy the best equipment available. We invest heavily in DJ and audio equipment. We also upgrade certain equipment every few years. Some gear has a shorter life span than others, plus we like to buy the latest and greatest equipment out there.
